The Tree That Sat Down

Remember reading this as a child. Ordered it from Amazon to read to/with my 8 year old DS (who is, belatedly but thankfully) becoming more and more into books.

It arrived today and I've just had such a strong wave of nostalgia I almost cried!

Definitely going to make more of an effort to get both DS's more bookworm-y; I had HUNDREDS of books at their age...

Anyone else remember the book?

I loved the series as a child - also the Stream that stood Still and one about a mountain, can't remember the title. I think you did well to get it for a reasonable price - have heard of people looking and finding them very expensive 2nd hand, not sure why they don't get reprinted!

I read "The Wickedest Witch In The World" which I think may be part of the series; I seem to remember Judy and Miss Smith (The witch) in it. Didn't realise there are more!

There are four books in the series, which are in this order:

The Tree That Sat Down
The Stream That Stood Still
The Mountain of Magic
The Wickedest Witch in the World

Until recently the last one has been the most difficult to get hold of.
