DS has been invited to a party of a little boy in his class. I thought that a book would be a good idea as I dont know the little boy very well.

Any suggestions are welcome. My DS has ASD and still loves the 'Thats not My' books so I cant get any ideas from him.

I never buy books becaue it's so easy to get them duplicates....you cant tell what they have already. But that's not what you asked! SO I reccomend Aliens Love Underpants here Smile

My ds got the foggy foggy forest as a present at his party and we all loved it.

Aliens love underpants is sure to be a hit if they've not already got it.
The incredible book eating boy is brilliant for the idea & the detailed pictures.

We have given Dinosaur cove books to a couple of 5 year old boys. Seem to be popular, and as they are "moving on" sort of books, I think 5 y olds are less likely to have them already (but good for reading aloud at bedtime as chapters are short)
