She's got really into history thanks to Horrible History and wants a book on history for Christmas. Could be World history or any good reference book for her.

TIA.

Try Kings and Queens, by Tony Robinson (Baldrick)
I looked on amazon and it's reduced, probably more recommendations there too

Not world history, but The Story of Britain is good. Its also a nice illustrated hardback so would make a lovely present. (We got our copy cheap from the Book People, I think £6.99, not sure if they're still doing it.)

A Little History of the World by EH Gombrich- although I remember it focusing on European mostly.

Have you looked at the Oxford childrens History of the World. Covers everything! We always take it out at our Local library and discover something new in it each time!

Horrible Histories have a box set being sold on The Book People.

I bought it for my nephew but I quite fancy reading them all myself first :)
