Dictionary for 6 year old

DS's teacher has suggested we get him a dictionary to look up spellings of words himself for homework.

The Oxford 1st Dictionary looks a bit too simple for him. Can anyone recommend a good dictionary for Yr1/Yr2 children?

5yo DS has Oxford junior dictionary (more complex than the 1st dictionary, but still easy type face, good selection of words)

Hi, my son is also 5 and we have the Oxford Junior Illustrated Dictionary. Gorgeous illustrations that help to break up the text but has twice as many words as the First dictionary. It the latest one out too so should all be up to date!
