Recommendations for a Keepsake Edition of a Boy's Classic

to give as a gift to 5 yr old. Thinking along lines of Treasure Island, Wind in the Willows, Jungle Book or similar. Preferably regular size, hardback with nice illustrations. Also can you still buy bookplates ?

Puffin do nice hardbacks of children's classics, and I THINK all of those titles are covered.

The Folio Society have beautiful books, but I think you have to buy 4 of them. Or you could try abebooks to see if they have any older good quality books.
