Poetry book for nearly 4yo?

I am looking for a first poetry book for DS (3.10)

He loves any poems I come out with (eg: On the Ning Nang Nong) and I think he'd love his own poetry book

Can anyone recommend something which has a good blend of old (Daddy fell into the pond type thing) and new (maybe Benjamin Zephaniah)? Thanks

Try the anthology called "Noisy Poems" by Jill Bennett. It's got this Spike Milligan poem in it, as well as lots of others that appeal to pre-school children. I also recommend the Korky Paul illustrated anthologies called "Dragon Poems", "Monster Poems" and "Pet Poems" though they are aimed at older children, so I think you will need to be selective as you read aloud.

I love sharing poems with my DD - aged 4.
