Life after Mr Gum

Have now read all Mr Gum books, plus all the Lamonical Chronicles. Can anyone recommend anything similar: easy to read and slightly quirky? dd1(11) loves surreal humour and reading to her sister (7).

Second the How to Train your Dragon books (by Cressida Cowell). You could also try the Lemony Snicket books which are a bit wacky too!

Getting desperate now! Done Lemony with dd1, dd2 reading Dragon books to self, so ....bump!

Ds loves Mr Gum (is reading the cherry tree one). He also loved Billionaire Boy by David Walliams and Big Nate by ?? (he can't remember).
