Ok I had a book as a child (I'm 25 now though the book may not have been new to me cant remember)
I'm sure it was a ladybird book but I have hunted high and low and cant find a copy as I cant remember the name of it.Sad

From what I remember it was about 3 ladies/princesses who had a prince come visit them every night, he took them though a magic forest which had trees the grow crystals to a big ball/party. The pictures were much like This is style if that helps.

If anyone knows what the book is called I would love to know as it got 'lost' Hmm when I moved as a child and I would really like to get another copy of it and it is really annoying that I cant remediable the title.

It wasn't The Twelve Dancing Princesses? This was one of the later additions to the Well-Loved Tales series that Ladybird did. If you google it and google-image it, you might find something you recognise.

The story certainly sounds like the twelve dancing princesses. I had the puffin version
