Book with incidental churchgoing?

am seeking picture books for intelligent 3yo in which the characters mention or go to church as part of everyday life
eg Topsy & Tim's Sunday Book
um
can't think of any more

not non-fiction RE-lesson type

any ideas?

have got the Church Mice series in my Amazon basket already

(yes it is really me, no I haven't been here for ages, yes I am on a break)

Go to a Christian bookshop. There will probably be loads

Did milly Molly mandy or anyone ever go to church?

As memory recalls Milly Molly Mandy did go to church, but just looked in DD's MMM Big Story Book and there isn't a chapter on church-going.

Just William (and the other books) by Richmal Crompton - some of the characters go to church - I don't know whether it will be quite what you're looking for, as William misbehaves in church, entering a facepulling exchange with a choirboy and, as I recall, his pet white rat escapes, causing chaos...

Definitely recommend the Church Mice books, I used to love them as a kid (Mum put on a squeaky voice to read the mice!) and love them as an adult - all kinds of charming, quirky little details in the illustrations.

I could be completely misremembering things, but I think I recall either characters going to a church or pictures that included churches in various Richard Scarry books.

Very hazy memories at this point...
