Anything published by Dorling Kindersly is usually good, have a look in bargain books and see what catches your eye, plenty of them.

When my DS was 5 we bought a fantastic Dorling Kindersly book called Cosmic. It had pop up pages, lights on the front and a big bang when you open the first page. It is full of facts on all aspects of space and will be enjoyed by DS for many years to come. It's just the thing to inspire a budding astronomer!

Henry's House has a fantastic book on space. My DD got it last year, and loves it.

Usborne's 'See Inside Space' (lots of flaps) and the fantastic 'Glow in the Dark Space'.

Yes! madamehooch We've just got the Usborne one from Amazon (really cheap there at mo). Cannot recomend highly enough. My nearly 5yo loves it. I've also got 2 others in the "See Indide" range and plan to get more.

We also have a Glow in the dark Space book, not sure if it's the same one, but not nearly as good IMO.
