Anyone know this book name - Verity vole gets some new purple shoes

Hi I'm hoping that someone might remember this book and can help jog my memory with the name of this childrens book.

One story is about a vole (?) called verity who wants some new shoes. I think she goes to see a shoemaker mole (?) who offers to make them but she has to go and collect blackberries to die them the right shade of purple. Its either a collection of stories in a set or short stories all in one book.

I read this story endlessly when I was growing up in early-80's Have tried google and amazon but either my memory is off - totally possible! or its no longer in print.

If anyone can help with this I would be v grateful!

Thanks for the suggestions, it got me searching in a closer direction. Eventually found - was a Jenny Partridge Oakapple Wood Treasury.

I had this one too and I loved it. In fact I think that it is still at my mum and dad's house. Thank you for a lovely nostalgia trip.
