Book on England

I was hoping to buy a nice book about England for 2 children aged 8 and 10 who will be emigrating with their parents later this year.

I'm looking for one with nice pictures/information about the country or the history that would be nice for them to access when they want to show friends about their home country or to find out information if they need to do homework etc

Any ideas

I got this for my 10 yr old son for Christmas. Its lovely and very well written. And a bargain!

I checked that link and it doesn't seem to be working too well. The book is The Story of Britain, and it is on The Book People's website.
