I am currently reading Enid Blyton's "the wishing chair" to my 2 year old daughter each night when she goes to bed, I know that this book is probably for 6 year + but she loves it. She asks for it when she goes to bed and she discusses the story with me and her nanny. Is it wrong to read her an older book or am I feeding her imagination ?..

I think its a great thing to do if she's enjoying it - for you too, I would imagine, even the best picture book can get boring after reading for the 100th time! Great for listening skills and expanding vocab I would think.
