the book about great books for kids

Can anyone help?
I read on an old thread (but of course now I can't find it) a recommendation for a book which is basically a guide to great books for kids (I think there was one for teenagers too?). It had the 100 best kids books or something similar.

Does it sound familiar to anyone?
