My two children love Charlie and Lola. I recently discovered that Lauren Child has not only created Charlie and Lola but a variety of other characters. Can you recommend any other books written by her?

Clarice Bean is great but for older children - my dd is 6 and has moved away from C&L

"That Pesky Rat" - very funny - about a rat that uses a crisp packet as a sleeping bag.

did you know lauren child was one of damien hirst assistants way back when - she used to colour in the spots on his paintings!

not one she wrote, but such wonderful stories and fabbily illustrated by her - the Pippi Longstocking stories. If you can find, well worth buying.

Oh I love "Beware of the storybook wolves". DD2 has been known to hide it under her bed so I can't find it and read it to her again!
