help finding a book please

Can anyone help me find this book please? I think it was published a year or so ago and it covered the facts behind science fiction - I remember hearing a fascinating interview with the author on radio 4 during a long summer holiday drive and thought that it might be interesting for ds1 and 2 who're both into that kind of stuff :)

Could it be: "Physics of the Impossible: A Scientific Exploration of the World of Phasers, Force Fields, Teleportation and Time Travel" but this is not a kids book!
People without a degree in Science will probably have to gloss over some of it.

hmmm - right subject area but I don't think it was that, it was more of a 'popular science' book rather than academic, thanks anyway :)
