My partner and I have already had a short weekend break in a cottage in Wales.
We have a Villa in Croatia booked with friends in May.
2000 trees music festival in July.
Shell Island camping at some point with family.
Shrewsbury flower show in August.

How about you?

Ooh they all sound lovely. Will look up that festival sounds interesting. Here's mine:

Croatia for a week in April with husband- really excited our first holiday abroad for years. We are staying in Cavtat where is your villa?
Long weekend in Devon in May with MIL and husband.
June is our 5 year wedding anniversary and currently deciding where to go - any recommendations welcome 😊
Also would like to go away somewhere Sept/Oct for some sunshine 🌞

Australia in September for a (late) celebration of my 70th and to see family. Really looking forward to it, my last trip was an unbelievable 14 years ago.

Sounds great.
We're going to Trogir, on the coast not far from Split.
Devon is one of our favourite places. We love Teignmouth, Sidmouth, Falmouth. Where abouts are you going?
I would also love another mini break in Autumn to break up that grey period

Based in central Brisbane and will be doing the usual tourist stuff in that area. Brizz is a lovely city. Late DM used to live in the Moreton Bay area so have had some lovely hols visiting her.

We’ve got a week in Croatia in July. Can’t remember the name of the actual town we’re staying in, but it’s just across the water from Korcula town. And then two weeks in Mauritius in November. That will probably be it, because the long haul one needs nearly three weeks off work because of the flight times. Plus we’re spending on the house like it’s going out of fashion.

I'm slowly coming out of a divorce haze but so far I've booked...

Weekend walking in the lakes next month
A week in the Canaries either in June or September
Benidorm in November for my 40th
Weekend in Krakow in June

childfreebychoice · 28/03/2024 21:42

We have three weeks in America next month and I can't wait! Starting with Las Vegas and then going on a road trip along Route 66, ending in Chicago.

Oh Cavtat is lovely! We went 2 years ago (September) and absolutely loved it. Small and I won't pretend there's loads to do in Cavtat itself except eat and drink, but it was a great vibe. Loads of restaurants (I recommend the Michelin one for the lunchtime set menu. Obviously tiny portions 🤣 but stunning food).

We did trips to islands, went to Dubrovnik a few times. Highly recommend a visit to Lokrum Island which is a nature reserve. If you like snorkeling then the water is crystal clear everywhere (even in the harbour with all the boats!). Just a gorgeous place.

Bit of an 'action packed' year this year!

Just had a week (ish) in London and have several long weekends in Scotland planned across the year (my in laws live there).

Got Legoland in June with my SIL and niece, Crete in September and then I want to go to Germany for some proper xmas markets in December, but nothing booked yet.

It's rare we book so much so early in the year and I've already run out of holidays at work (kept some aside for Germany of course) 😂

Thanks @SewingIsMySuperPower that sounds perfect for us and will check out your recommendations.

Some lovely ideas here.

Where do you visit in Scotland?
I've only been to Edinburgh but would love some ideas!

We've been all over! We love Peebles, New Lanark Mill is a beautiful world heritage site, the Isle of Skye is pretty spectacular, Dornoch is small but so peaceful. Glasgow is very different to Edinburgh, but still worth a visit!
