What are your big decisions today?

Inspired by another thread where a childfree woman said that she loved the freedom she has, and how her biggest decisions today are how far to go on her hike and what sort of coffee machine to buy 😊

My decisions for today:

Which colours of Lisa Eldridge liquid eyeshadows to buy
What present to buy for my nephew
What to have for lunch
What to cook for dinner
What film to watch this evening

My DP is away so I only have to think about myself. I don't have to drive anybody to swimming lessons or birthday parties or football practice. Feeling very lucky and grateful today

In answer, I went for a 12km hike but still haven't decided on the coffee machine!

Tomorrow's decision - which pub for Sunday lunch.

And of course, a chat with DH later to point out all the things we can't do if we had a child.

@NeedleFeltedFox same. I got up for coffee & toast & came back with DD2 and we've put a film on. It's ages since we've stayed in bed all morning. Totally blissful.

Absolutely love ALL of this. Thanks for joining the thread and for your original post about your lovely fun decisions - it made me reflect on my own childfree life and how very grateful I am for it 😊

I’ve just bought some more plants for my pots now have to decide where to put them, DH is making me a G&T to aid decision making and we need to decide which open air concert we attend this evening or stay in a watch a movie with more G&Ts.

Me too! I was up and about early this morning and had a long and busy week so I'm shattered. Got into bed at 2pm and slept for 2 hours. It was BLISS

Naps are better than sleep. Who decided we should sleep for eight hours at a time when we should clearly be having two hour naps four times a day 😂

Weather atrocious here, so no spontaneous things happening today! Made my signature walnut and banana loaf. Ate half of it with two huge mugs of tea. Stuck the rest in the freezer in case I scoffed it also. Coloured my hair. Browsed for my next break beginning of September, too many choices. For obvious reasons I don't budge while the schools are out.

Took out the vacuum. It is still where I left it, the bag needs emptying and I can't be bothered. Took out salmon from freezer for lunch tomorrow. I'm grazing on crap today, and I never got out of my PJs. Going to bed soon (I know) to watch Netflix. Doze wake doze wake. Bliss almighty.

Isn't it a great life all the same?

Whether to do more of the cable pattern on the front of the jumper or do some of the stockinette on the back ... oh wait, the decision's been made, DCat1 has just settled on my knees, so I won't be getting up to get the stockinette piece anytime soon. 😸🧶

My DH also away so I have a free day to myself. I'm going to go to the gym, then see a French film and go out for lunch. Might see a friend tonight for dinner.

Currently- should I get off sofa to make another coffee, even though it will disrupt a sleeping dog, and the rules say you must let them lie.

Day ahead of working on our kitchen that we are in the middle of very slowly DIYing with new floor and doors.

May have decide which blunt instrument to clobber DH with when we hit deadlock.

We're going to a food festival today!! So I expect my biggest decision will be which cake to eat first. 😄

I also need to decide when to get up... not quite yet though.
