Putting Childminders On The Map

I know some childminders don't want their location detail being made available to people... but for those who have chosen to permit that level of detail, the new Database can be asked to Show where childminders are located.

Example

NOTE: Parents looking for a childminder are recommended to contact their local FIS for a full list of childminders, as online services do not list all childminders.

Unless they live in Norfolk

Becuase the computer is wrong

KatyMac... I can find you listed... but not mapped (well, not to the right place!) I presume it's due to not having the Postcode. So where a childminder has decided not to have their postcode listed (of the LA have not uploaded it correctly) then that childminder won't appear on the map in the correct place, or possibly at all.

Their system won't allow for a childminder to want to get business by telling parent where they live

Isn't that restriction of trade or something?

Yes... moan to Norfolk FIS... tell them to add your full postcode to the database.

They have but the system that transfers it to FIS doesn't take the Postcode with the info
