Funded Places

Hi there, I'm Childminding soon with my Husband and at the moment I'm doing research. I noticed on a childminders website that she is offering funded spaces. On further research I found out that childminders can offer funded spaces. Does anyone know how this can work? Is anybody doing this? Do you know how we can make funded places accessible? Is it worth it?

You need to be accredited on an approved Childminding Network to offer funded spaces. Depending on where you are and your hourly rates will determine whether or not it is cost effective as different local authorities reimburse at different rates. Best thing is to contact your local Early years Dept to see if there is a NW in your area and take it from there
