Childminder - how do I write a reference??

Hi everyone,

Our old childminder has just asked me to write a reference for her for a new prospective parent. I am more than willing to do this as she was brill with our LO, but I have no idea how to do it!

Any advice?

How long your child has been with the CM and what ages that spanned.

What sort of things she does with the children each day, and why you like that.

Have you been happy with her reliability - time off sick, holiday notice, things like that?

I used to give a contact number if people wanted to know more, as well.
