Hi All
I am struggling a bit in the final fling of 2nd pregnancy and am fortunate enough to have a friend with a lovely 18 year old daughter who could do some childminding for me in her gap year.I was wondering what a fair hourly wage was for this kind of arrangement as don't want to be tight but we're not all that flush at the mo either!Jx

Minimum wage is £4.83 I presume she would be working from your house?

Remember you need money for them going on days out & "bits & pieces" too

yep-from my house but just for a couple of hours a day so I can lie down

She would be a nanny not a childminder. MAke sure that you keep her hours under the level required to have to pay National Insurance. Even so you need to get her to fill in a P46 form stating that this is her only employment.
