Crouch End Childminders

Hello!

Does anyone know of any really good childminders in the crouch end area?
I am looking for part-time childcare for my 1-year old daughter but I don?t know where to start! There seem to be hundreds of childminders around here but I would like to find someone really good who will play and interact with her. I am happy to wait for the right person if there is a waiting list.
If you have a really great childminder or know of someone who does, I would be really grateful if you could give me their name (and if possible contact details).

Thanks very much for your help

Hello Misstea - there are a couple of really good drop ins in Finsbury Park where a lot of childminders go - one is at the Jamoboree hut in Finsbury Park (bottom end, near the tube) and operates every day, and the other is Acorns at the Stroud Green Sure Start Children's centre (inside Stroud Green Primary school).

My childminder goes to both and so do a lot of others, plus several nannies - it's worth asking for word of mouth recommendations while you're there and you will get a feel for how people interact with the kids they mind.

To be honest though, there is a shortage of good childminders in the Crouch End/Stroud Green area. I don't personally know of any with vacancies at the moment. So your issue may be finding one with availability, rather than picking and choosing!
