Hi. I am looking for recommendations on after school clubs on the Littleover/Mickleover border. I have recently moved and there seems to be just one nursery that does a pick up from the school - Wren Park - but it's full. If anyone has any recommendations I'd be very grateful. Many, many thanks.

There's an after school club in heatherton that collects children from that area, it's run in the community centre (I don't know the number though), IIRC, it's Heatherton After school club??? I can't think of any more, I know there's a childminder in that area aswell, if you call the council and ask for the list of childminders her number should be on there.

Good luck!

Thank you. Been through the council list and I am starting to think I am in a bit of a blackspot for school pick up! All and any advice welcomed. Thanks again.

The after school club in Heatherton collects from Littleover and Heatherton schools, you need to ask them about Mickelover, it's not too far though.

Have you asked the other parents to see what they do?

I have been looking since April and it has been very difficult. Most people have been on childminder's and nursery pick up lists for years.
In desperation I went in the school to see if they could help... A new after care club is starting in Sept 10 at Mickleover Community centre(near tesco). It's afew minutes drive but unless I get something nearer I will go with it. I might go and look at the set up in June.
Hope this helps
