Sorry posted earlier but may be should have worded it better.

I am a childminder.

Thinking of looking after 12 month old in November. Is ending of June enough time for parent to let me have days and hours required? Want to plan ahead.

I wouldn't hold a space open, if I were a CM, which I'm not, unless they gave me hours and days and paid a retainer. Unless it were for a sibling, in which case I'd expect the retainer and say I assumed they'd want the same times.

I do look after two other siblings. At present just after school pickup. Come Nov hours will change to before and after school also.

I'm afraid for me, sibling or not, if I've got a space now they'd need to be paying me a 50% monthly retainer as no way could I afford to turn other work down and not earn from that 'space' for 5/6 months!
