hi is it normal for housing benefit to ask the parent for their contract?

As a CM, I have been aske to supply evidence that the parent is paying me.
I photocopied her contract and they were happy with it.

Yes me too! I sent copy of contract and three months invoices!

Yes have provided copy invoices and letters several times, they use it to calculate household expenditure and the amount a family should have to live on.
