Hello,

I am due to go back to work (4 days) at the end of next month (June) and I am looking for a childminder/nanny in the Bow/Hackney area for my lovely baby girl who will be 11 months by that time. I have tried the local list of CMs but none of them have any spaces available. Any advice would be most welcome!

Thank you

Hi - i'm new on MN and this is my first reply to any post - sorry cant help with the CM but have you thought about a day nursery? I have a DC and when i returned to work she went to a day nursery - she was 11months at that time ans is 2.9 now and is thriving...Just a thought...

I know someone in Victoria park who found a nanny from gumtree to come to their house and then advertised for other parents to share her. It works out a reasonable cost, puts you in the driving seat, means your child will not have to adjust to a different environment, but involves hassle.

Or put an advert out for a nanny share?

Are there really no vacancies or none that are reasonable. Would it be worthwhile looking at E2 childminders too? Or have you tried that? I know there are quite a few around Bonner school/Sewardstone road area.

By the way, when I said share the nanny, I meant the other parents brought their children/babies to my friend's house.

Hi @pumpkin79, did you manage to find a childminder? I am also looking at Bow/Hackney area and I was wondering if you could share your experience.
Thanks
