I am a nanny who has at least 3 mornings a week free and finish in the evenings at 5ish.

I am thinking of advertising for some work to fit into these gaps ie childcare and wondered what things I could offer to do.

I live in a military area so with partners away am sure there are plenty of single parents who want 5 minutes peace and jobs done but what jobs as a parent would you like help with ie ironing, childcare.

Any ideas?

Are you 'on call' in the mornings tho in case of illness?

A few hours during the school day to look after younger children allows me to do the cleaning / house jobs. Also, evening babysitting and tbh, tea, bed and bath can be full on too, if I could afford it, I'd love an extra pair of hands in the 5pm till 8pm slot, even if it was just to clear up downstairs while I did bed and bath.

In my case, you being on call and possibly only doing term time works fine for me as it's not essential time and we have a flexible arrangement and if I'm away, I don't pay either.

I think an ad hoc situation would be fantastic and theres a real gap in the market for this. You would need to be super organised and carry your diary on you 100% of the time but a standard hourly rate and openmindedness to do everyhting as required would be fab!

I have a cleaner (not suggesting you should be a cleaner) who offers everything, ironing, cleaning, childcare, bathing, gardening, trips to the park for the kids, supermarket shopping.. hellsh eeven offered to do my on line shop for me. Flexibility is something thats hard to come by and priceless!
