If you were taking on a little one aged around 12 months what advice would you give?

Ie do you charge more for younger ones?

Do you take the little one to get jabs etc or is it the parents responsibilty?

What has it been like for you?

Thinking about it but want to look at various areas.

thanks!!

Are you a CM or parent?

I charge the same no matter what age.

No, parents definitely do jabs here.

What's it been like? Depends on what you want to know really. I personally have taken younger children (5/8 weeks old, 5/6 months and the odd 9/10 month) but can't remember having one start at that age (have had ones much older too). What do you mean when you ask what it's been like? I also think that it depends on the overall mix of children. I certainly would take that age if I had a space (although secretly likely the freedom as I've finally got them all being nearer 2 and above which is heaven compared to when they were 10 wks, 8 months, 17 months and 19 months!! lol).

p.s. what sort of ADVICE are you after?

I charge the same for all ages. I have never yet been asked to take a child for jabs. Hope that helps.

I am a childminder.

I suppose every childminder has their own experience which depends on the ages of the other children and their own children.

I look after two 2 yr olds and they are so diiferent.

I can only really go by the experience I had from caring for my four kids.

I am looking at all area before considering taking on the little one. I have a routine for the kids I care for and I know I will have to change it a little.

I will also have to start using my double buggy again.

Thanks everyone!
