Tax Credits

I am working as a weekend nanny for a family who pay me with tax credits. The family also use a nursery during the week. When it's school holidays I work extra hours but this easter she has decided to use her friend for childcare and I think she will using the tax credits to pay her. Basically what I am asking is can she pay her friend with tax credits (I thought they had to be ofsted registered) and how do I make sure she isn't using my registration number?

You can't

IMO opinion it's a major flaw in the system

I think CMers should be able to provide information easily & securly (maybe on an on-line system) to ensure only people using them can use thier EYnumber - but I can't see it happening

you could ring tax credits and ask who is using your reg no,also my niece works for tax credits and she said they are ringing cm and workplaces to find out details if anyone is scamming them!!!!my niece said they have caught a few people out!!!

But how will a CM getting a call know the person is from the tax office? Can't really just trust what someone says on the phone. Far better for an information request of this nature to be in writing, IMHO.

That's why I think an on-line system would be great
