Time off for Easter?

MUM2BLESS · 02/04/2010 18:50

I have taken off some time during Easter from childminding.

I aim to clear as much paperwork as possible. I also want to spend some time with my kids and have some quality time for myself.

Anyone doing anything interesting during your time off?

Love to hear from you!

Time off? What's that??

Slept... didn't get out of bed until gone midday (except to make a coffee and take it back to bed to drink).

Went to the gym.

I've been off this week and.....

Monday - spent the morning at ds1's school whilst dh had ds2. Came home for lunch then went back again. Just lazed after schol

Tuesday - met up with a couple of friends, their babies, with ds2 whilst ds1 was at school. Dh was at home with friend building a stud wall etc.

Wednesday - lazy start to morning with ds2 whilst dh spent an hour at ds1's school. Then did paperwork but not as much as I wanted as the noise from ds2 distracted me (dh didn't take him out!!! grrr)

Thursday - dh out with mates so took ds1 & 2 to soft play place then dentist for their checkups.

Today - dh and mate working on electrics in kitchen whilst I tried to keep boys out of the way (ds1 didn't want to go out, just wanted to play on Wii as got new games for his birthday and isn't allowed to play much when I'm working). Then I started stripping some wallpaper and ds1 loved helping with this. Cleaned mess the men made, did dinner and in a mo getting kids ready for bed (roll on bedtime - been one of those days)

Got 3 days left and not sure what we're doing but I REALLY need more time on paperwork. I've nagged and nagged dh about me needing LOTS of time on paperwork but as usual, the week flies by and I'm not sure if/when I'll get to do this (SIL coming for weekend)

Why is it when we get a break we end up needing to catch up with paperwork??!! And why does the time fly by and all these things you planned never happen!! (well, ime anyway!).

Hope you have a lovely break

Off next week and going to do diddley squat - relax with dp and ds, maybe a couple of pub lunches (he's paying )

I have done some paperwork, a bit of diy and got back into my daily running which I find hard to do when I work 8am-6pm. Am hoping if I cen get into the routine now it will continue when I go back to work on Tuesday.

Also went out last night and have a terrible hangover today!

Thanks everyone.

I have spent time with the kids doing various things ie watching dvd, taking some of them to the park etc.

I have also clear some of my papers.

I really think it important for us to take time off to catch up and also to relax etc.
