Has anyone done NVQ3 in Childcare, Learning and Development?

How was it and any tips?

I did the NVQ3 that came before it so not much help, but have heard it is ok, not as much work as the previous ones (my friend just did it and had one small folder compared with my 3 whacking great big folders).

Yes did it 2007 - found it OK - didn't really kow any different - alot of 'relect accounts' some of it common sense, quite interesting - dont go for anything lower eg NVQ2 .

relect = reflective accounts

yes did it last year, its being replaced in september with a similar level 3 but geared towards all childcare workers.
If you can get on a course do it asap as funding is fast running out, google it for your area and see who is offering it as you don't have to do it through a college if you don't want to.
Its not hard just takes up lots of time, I struggled to fit it in around childminding and my own family and ended up doing it in the early hours.It only takes 6-9 months.

If you do it the best book is the red one and I couldn't have managed without it www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_sb_ss_i_0_4?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=ccld+level+3&sprefix=ccl d
