What can I do?

I am a live in nanny in a small 3 bed house where noise carries easily.

The last 2 nights I have had an extremely bad cough and am sitting up coughing most the night - obviously this is annoying me but I can imagine it's also annoying mb being kept awake at night by the nanny when she has an important job so probably doesn't want to be kept awake.

So what can I do to thank her for being understanding - apart from sleeping in the shed - did think about that at 1.30 this morning!!!

Apologise for coughing - I know you can't help it but it makes you feel better.
I spend most of winter coughing so I apologise a lot. It is part and parcel of living in. On the other hand, would she do anything if she coughed all night? Probably just apologise too.
Don't stress about it. It is not as if you are spreading typhoid germs everywhere
Buy some night nurse to knock you out at night so you can sleep.
