So what happens to everyone half way through the CCLD?

I would expect they would still get the CCLD. What usually happens when examination boards change course titles/content is that it affects new applicants only... so those starting in September.

The way it tends to work with quals is they have a lifespan of accreditation and simply put anyone starting AFTER a certain date, say today, won't be able to do that qualification but anyone already registered will have a certain amount of time to finish. If you look on the NDAQ you'll see they have the dates it was offered and the dates the award was awarded.

So this award will be offered from September but anyone starting up til then will be on the old scheme and able to finish as long as they do it within the timeframe specified. It's just like when any new syllabus comes in-those currently doing it stay doing it but the next cohort does a different one.

Have to say I'm glad they're phasing out the DHC-wasn't comprehensive enough IMO.
