Can any1 tell me please what is meant by STARTING POINTS WITH THE EYFS, I noticed on other inspection reports that the officers are quite hot on this and even though i use the eyfs cards, i want to check i've done everything right.

I think they mean what the children are capable of when they first start coming into your setting. So you do some observations quite quickly and then are able to access where you go from there!

and any info the parents have given you when they start

Its the 'all about me' data collection that a setting will gather about that child, what they can do, what they enjoy, likes/dislikes, who that child is. The starting point information that you build upon
