Hi
I am on the south coast, and am interested in finding care for my dc 4 days a week 4:30pm-5:30pm(ish) (some days 5:15pm others 5:45).
Additionally during school holidays care for 3 days a week 08:30-5:30 would be wanted.
My question is I appreciate that this is not a lot of time, would I have to pay a premium to get this type of cover, where would I advertise this type of position, how much would be a reasonable rate to offer?
Any comments taken on board.
Thanks.

The best thing would to be to phone your local Family Info Services, they will give you a list of CM's for your area, from that you can find one that picks up from your DC's school.

A CM sets her own rate, you dont offer (well you could try , as you dont employ them, but use their service.

The National Number who will give you your local one is.

4.30 pm seems late for a school pick up, most schools finish between 3 - 3.30pm. Are you needing to have your dc picked up from somewhere other than school?

No there's after school clubs at school going on 3:30-4:30 that they want to go to.
Thanks very much for the phone number Shoshe, noted re rate, you can see how much of a novice I am at this.
