Okay, so have done the snow thing, played with the horrible white stuff indoors and out . Am really at a loss what else to do with 2.6 - 3 yr olds who have a very short attention span and bicker constantly

Ideas ladies - and gents -please

guessing you mean your theme is winter so some ideas around that:

collage of snow
biscuit making/decorating
dancing
music making of wintry sounds
cotton wool snow pictures
winter treasure hunt
water play

We just did snow themed playdough. I printed and laminated some snowflake shapes, made a huge batch of uncoloured dough with silver glitter in it and the kids had a go at copying the shapes on the laminated mats, then progressed to making snowmen, igloos etc. All good clean harmless fun and suitable for quite a big age range.

dont do a topic just go with the flow

if for example the children liked dinosaurs you could add dinosaurs to shaving form or make dinosaur prints using paint and dipping the toy into it

We are into nature big time and have been downloading lots of resources from www.naturedetectives.org.uk - this site has great sections for spring, summer, autumn and winter.
