I have (the world's most adorable) baby boy, who is 14 months old. I have been searching EVERYWHERE for a babysitter- I'm not asking for too much, only that she'd be a nice reliable person, who can come do evening babysitting when we go out (which doesn't happen that much, really), and that's it basically. We don't have any family here, so relying on strangers is all I've got.

I have looked everywhere, and even thought of enrolling in an agency- what am I doing wrong?! are there no nice people left in northern London that would like to babysit every once in a while?!

I go to church so I've been lucky to meet a lot of new people near me with varying ages of kids. But maybe your post will prompt someone to offer you their child

Where are you based as malovitt asked?

PaulaMummyKnowsBest · 12/01/2010 15:56

have you tried gumtree and nannyjob?

Blondeshavemorefun · 12/01/2010 17:36

have a look on netmums and nannyjob babysitting section

put in your postcode here and should find you local ones to you

Try netmums in our local area, I am sure I have seen a couple of people advertising their babysitting services.
