ap where does everyone look for one?

Our current ap leaves in ,arch so looking for a new one for then.
First two ap,s came from almondbury and i was happy with them but they are expensive and really dont appear to 'do' anything except send lists of people that may or may not be looking to be an au pair. current ap came from au pair world and we are looking there and great au pair (seems to be people wanting to go to the us).. however only complaint about current ap is her level of english is poor and it does cause some problems.. so ideally we would like an english ap. we live in australia... any suggestions where else we can look?

i think gumtree.com has got an australian section? or you could post on the british site , it might interest someone, you never know.

au pair world - if you use the advanced search you can specify where you would like your AP to come from.

I always get the kids involved with the telephone interview, I figure if your English is good enought to hold a five minute conversation with a six year old you are going to survuve in this house.

yeah i have so far managed to have the eldest talk on the phone with a similar idea! only with current ap her english isnt bad but for example dd was stuck at school last week and a friend rang and said she hadnt got on the bus and was upset in the playground.... new schooll also added to the problem and that the mother would stay with her till we arrived and ap didnt understand? the mother was south african but isnt too broad.. just made me worry a but i gues was lucky as i came home and went and collected dd.. bt what if id been workig later? ummmm
