Part time live in nanny pay

How much would I expect to pay a live in nanny in SE London who works part time (looking after one child who goes to nursery)? I've seen suggested pay for full time, but can't find anything for part time.

tbh i dont think part time should be that much more than fulltime

so divide ft by 5 to get a daily rate and use that, or maybe add a tiny bit on

when your dc is at nursery, is the nanny on call/if ill/baker days etc?

if so then you need to pay them for that time

Would you be looking for before/after nursery care or days?

And would the nanny be able to have another job in the time your DD is at nursery?

She would be in nursery 5 days a week so it would be before/after care.

Depends if you expect nanny to be available the whole time and what hours you need. Have you tried posting gumtree in the housing section offering room/board in exchange for childcare?

Or what about a nursery nurse who wants to move out from her parents and break into nannying? Your job would be a great half-way house for that.

Haven't you been posting about au pairs lately? This would be an ideal au pair job.

Yes, I'm really looking at au pairs but got in contact with a woman looking for a job as a live in nanny - I just wondered what her pay would be. On reflection it's probably too expensive as I've only got one DC to look after - if I had more than one or one that stays at home all day I would definitely go down the nanny route but DD is 3.5 so I think an au pair would be suitable.

I'll put that job offer on gumtree though - it sounds like a good idea.
