Not sure, I am a CM, who has had SF this week and had to close completly as I wasnt fit to work, which ment all my parents had to find alternative care, which wasnt easy as care is short supply here (live on an Army Camp so no family close to help out).

If I was your CM, think I would exclude so that she dosnt get it and the same scenario happen.

Shoshe - hope you're feeling better.

I must say I'd have to agree. If the CM gets it she'll have to close and EVERYONE including yourself would have no childcare then.

I hope you feel better soon

Current guidelines in my area are that if the child is well then the child should be excepted unless you have written a specific policy that you won't except if a family member has sf.

My area is Gloucestershire.

If you are able keep your daughter at home then I?m sure the childminder would be very grateful, because if your daughter is carrying it and eventually comes down with it the likelihood is that the childminder will get it too and she will lose ?at best- a weeks income and at worse 2 weeks, and inconvenience the other families. However I think the guidance is that your child can go to her childminder if she is not showing symptoms, and of course swine flu is in the general population anyway. Have you thought how she will get there because obviously you can not take her, and something to think about but if she were to be poorly at the childminders then someone else would need to collect her as again you can not go- even to just the doorstep of the childminders.
