How do you find an aupair?

Hi - I am looking for an au pair. I was wondering if any other mumsnetters are looking for an au pair or have found an au pair and where did you look? Did you place an advert? And if so, where and for how long did you need to place it? Does it make sense to put a free advert with Tesco? Any advice gratefully received.

We recruit our au pairs using aupair_world.net. If you are looking for an au pair who is already in the country then you could look on your local gumtree.com, but most au pairs arrange to come from their home country direct to their host family.

Try au pair agencies such as
www.goodaupairs.co.uk They also give you the aftercare both for the family and the au pair once the placement is made. They have au pairs who are immediately available.

Scanaupairs is good too.
