Registration is due to be renewed with OFSTED in the next few weeks.

MB and DB no longer want to use the scheme to help towards the child care costs.

I am in a (potentialy) long-term job which seems (scared to speak too soon) pretty secure even in this market, although I am aware things could go pear shaped as it has for many other nannies out there.

Question for you nannies out there.

Would you bother to renew the OFSTED?

All opinions for and against, welcome.

TIA

Yes, because you don't know what will happen in 6 months time. If the Government stops the childcare voucher scheme, then that's another matter. Having it I feel shows that you are a professional nanny, not a glorified au-pair.

Thanks Nick.

How easy would it be to just go thru the whole process again though?

Only took 4wks for it to go through last time.

Hard to know. Ofsted may not regulate childcare in 6 months time (yeah right... but you never know with Government), ISA starts to kick in - so for nannies is another voluntary scheme for us to join.
