CM Leaving present or not?

Our DS (2.5) will be finishing at CM in a few weeks time. Her choice, she is giving up childminding. He has been with her since the beginning of the year for two days a week. She has been very good with him and I have had no issues with her at all.
Is it appropriate to buy her some kind of (small) gift or do we treat it in a more business way and say, ok we've been paying her x amount for so long, she decided to quite so let's leave it there...?

why is she giving up?

think she is giving up cos she's had enough! done it for 5 yrs. original thinking behind it was to spend more time with her own kids but i think she feels it hasnt really worked out that way. i dont blame her, she must be exhausted all the time and never has any time to herself...
think you're right a token gift is prob the right thing.
