It was my network co-ordinator - she left soon after......It's pathetic isn't what mum would take that sort of risk

Apparently I supposed to take action to enable children with special needs to use my setting....which I agree with and I do to the best of my ability

I have had children with
mobility problems
developmental delay
speech problems
sight problems
learning difficulties
attention problems

But I won't allow a child with a nut allergy in the house - which means I'm discriminating against them

I couldn't win

I think it is DEFFO BRILL

WELL DONE

Is DD one of the pics?

KatieMac · 05/06/2005 10:04

Not a chance DD is mixed race...actually all the children are white - is that a problem I wonder?
It reflects the ethnic mix locally (DD is one on her own)

All the children are copyright free I thought it was safer

I thought your husband was black (afro carribean IIRC??) and wondered why you DD wasn't pictured. Presumable by your post you mean your area is white predominatly, but wouldn't you want to show the diversity in your setting, as if I was mixed race/ of another race then I would be far happier to send my child to a setting like yours that reflected that??

KatieMac · 05/06/2005 11:05

that's right Xena - I hadn't noticed all the children were white until RTKM mentioned it - I may have to adjust some of the pictures (and speak very nicely to my webdesigner)

DH is from Jamaica- you remembered well

It was just one typo, KM.

Sorry, no time, dw ill.

Didn't I already re-write it in the doc I e-mailed you ???

Hope all well for you.

KatieMac · 06/06/2005 19:25

But Alibubbles, the whole garden will have "essesnce of walnut" in it - from falling leave, rotten walnuts, walnut husks etc - surely that would be dangerous to anyone with an nut allergy

It's the only way I can guarentee safety - I can do most food allergies etc but nuts I cannot exclude from the area

Spelling is corrected and I now have a child from ethnic background other than white......political correctness at it's worst
