I am having my ofsted inspection next week and thought i was ok, until I saw a fellow childminder this am and she said about updating policies to reflect/show EYFS - I am sorry but am confused what does she mean?

Please can someone explain this to me? I am now beginning to panic!

deep breath!

you need to make sure that the welfare requirements of the EYFS statutory requirements are reflected in your policies. it may be that you need to amend some, and it may not. i mistake i made for EYPS thingy was saying that Inclusion is that same as Equal Opps so I only had an Inclusions policy - and it is not the case, of course.

have you seen the OFSTED doc setting out the minimum requirements in respect of written docs that CM's need?

I was inspected on 9 June so fairly recently. I don't profess to know it all, but could help a bit if you'd like to give me a call!

Have recently had my inspection and was told by my inspector, that from 1st September 2009, if you did not have a suitable complaints procedure and safeguarding policy, that the inspection would be halted there and then, and that you would be given a certain amount of time to correct the situation.

Numberfour · 11/09/2009 13:45

no worries, mums, up to you!
