Yesterday!

The inspector was lovely (but VERY snoopy! She noticed every little thing in the house and was writing down a hell of a lot of observations lol)
She read all my policies, emergency plan, checked all my books (attendance, sickness etc) checked over downstairs (didn't go upstairs though which I thought was odd, just asked how many bedrooms) and I got a GOOD for EVERYTHING!!!

She said she'd have given me outstanding but couldn't justify it with me only minding now for a month... but after making progress with all this training I have planned (short courses, nvq etc) I'd probably get it... she just said local noses would be put out of joint...

She did say I was one of very few to get all goods...

(blowing own trumpet here but I'm so happy!!!)

I am proud! lol!

The best bit was she said that mindee (13 month old) was so settled and happy, and it was amazing for just having her 3 weeks. Plus her and ds get on really well (well at least in front of the inspector )

I really love it when people comment that children are happy in your care

Hi Lunavix, am I right in thinking this is your second inspection or is this your first inspection in order to be registered?

I'd love to know as we are holding off on everything as we are having a purpose built extension for the childcare being built and it isn't finished yet, so also didn't think we'd be able to advertise for mindees until registered, so therefore, building finished...am I wrong or is this your second visit?

Soo many questions!

Thanks - Joe

Good for you Lunavix.
You sound like you were very organised and deserved it.
Fantastic that your children were so well behaved when the inspector was there too - makes it much less stressfull for you

artyjoe - technically this was my third!

I've had a registration one, then I moved so I had a safety/house check one. This was my first as an actual minder.
