Did it take for you to get registered with OFSTED?

As a childminder it took me 9 months. Fronm January to September. Even though my certificate says I was registered in July but it took 2 months for them to send out my certificate

For the Home Childcarer (Voluntary part of the Ofsted Childcare Register) - I applied (online) to Ofsted on 1st August 2007 for nanny registration. Forms arrived and were sent back, and my registration certificate came through 17 September - so took under 7 weeks.

However it will vary quite a bit... in particular I feel the number of addresses you have had in the past 5 years will make a difference, as the more addresses the more checks need to be made by the CRB.

i filled in all the forms right at the beginning of september last year and got my registraion through end of November, so 2.5 months then
