Risk Assessments - Silly question, help!

Hi all

I'm a newbie and I'm just reviewing risk assessments before my first child starts. This sounds like a really silly question but....in my kitchen all of the sockets are above the work surface - surely I don't need to have socket covers?

Also do parents need to sign the risk assessments?

Thank you

Anything above worktop level hasn't got a socket cover and i don't get parents to sign them. In fact most parents don't look at them when offered either!!
