Answers from both parents and nannies please?

How much would you charge/pay for a live in nanny role for a six month old? Hours would be Mon-Fri 7.30am - 6pm, two nights babysitting. Mother would like the nanny to do the housekeeping role if possible and would pay more for this. Live in accomadation would be own room and bathroom. Please let me know how much for either just the sole nanny role and then the nanny/housekeeper role. Also the person would need to be Ofsted registered or willing to become registered. Thanks in advance.

In my current job I am live in SW london similar hours and room etc etc but with 2 children and all housekeeping duties including shopping washing ironing etc just not cleaning and I earn £370 nett which I have been v happy with and think is v fair. So I would say similar for this role.

depends on the age and exp of the nanny and the area you are in

though to be fair, i dont think you can make a nanny do a housekeepers job and clean/tidy the house, anymore than you can find a housekeeper who can look after a baby

i think they are 2 seperate jobs, as the child is so young

min wage doesnt apply to live ins but would have thought at least £60 a day so £300 a week

£350 net for the mon-fri then maybe bit extra for babysitting.

There is a job in the lady mag thats for triplets in london and is £350 nett full time live in if that helps.
